Welcome to Lake Harwinton tucked away in the Litchfield Hills of Connecticut.
Our lake community was chartered as a CT Special Taxing District (not an HOA) in 1951 as The Lake Harwinton Association. The recreational opportunities the lake offers - swimming, kayaking, fishing, and boating with small electric motors - are available to tax paying district property owners/members.

Also, check out the CT Deep Fisheries Lake Harwinton Survey Report. On October 29, 2025 CT DEEP Fisheries sampled the fish community in the lake - at no cost - with the intention of gathering information to help us make informed decisions about stocking. Here's the report. The Board of Governors welcomes your feedback and ideas for continued stocking of the lake for fishing.
